A man and his dog suffered only minor injuries after sliding 20-feet down a cliff near the 900 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, according to San Diego Fire Department’s Battalion Chief James Diaz. <\/p>\n
Sunday night the fire department responded to a call of a man and his dog getting stuck at the bottom of a cliff just after 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Battalion Chief Diaz said that witnesses say the dog ran down the cliff and his owner followed him, which led to both of them sliding down about 20-feet, where they found themselves trapped at the bottom.<\/p>\n
San Diego Fire Department crews were able to hoist up and rescue both the man and his dog in about an hour and a half. <\/p>\n
The man was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
