Wednesday\u2019s drama in the Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs case <\/a>extended to the courthouse hallway as well \u2014 where members of the embattled rap mogul\u2019s legal team rushed to help a man having a seizure.<\/p>\n

Immediately after Combs\u2019 failed bid to get released on bail <\/a>Wednesday afternoon, the jailed hip-hop tycoon\u2019s lead lawyer Marc Agnifilo left the 26th-floor courtroom in Manhattan federal court and saw a man collapse to the ground, Agnifilo recalled to The Post.<\/p>\n

The veteran defense attorney \u2014 who had been on his way to meet with Combs in a holding cell inside the Lower Manhattan courthouse \u2014 then straddled the ailing man, who was hitting his head on the marble floor, and laid him on his side so that he wouldn\u2019t choke on his tongue or vomit, he said.<\/p>\n

Agnifilo\u2019s law partner Jacob Kaplan then placed his backpack under the man\u2019s head, while his daughter Sofia Agnifilo, who\u2019s working for the firm as a paralegal, and a member of Combs\u2019 family helped make sure the man was breathing and checked his pulse, the lawyer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t imagine a busier five-minute period in my life,\u201d Agnifilo said Thursday. \u201cI\u2019m going down to see Combs, everything was so intense, and my mind was on the case, and I walk out, and a man falls and is clearly seizing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seemed pretty dire. I was worried about him,\u201d Agnifilo added. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve just dealt with lots of seizures,\u201d the lawyer further explained. \u201cI just know exactly what to do because I\u2019ve dealt with this before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Agnifilo straddled the ailing man, who was hitting his head on the marble floor, and laid him on his side so that he wouldn\u2019t choke on his tongue or vomit. New York Post<\/p>\n

After the man appeared to stabilize, Agnifilo said he left the scene before EMS workers arrived. Cameras caught the man being taken out of the courthouse on a stretcher minutes later. <\/p>\n

The status of the man was unclear.<\/p>\n

The lawyer said that he then briefly met with Combs before walking out with the rest of the legal team to do a press conference with a throng of media.<\/p>\n

Combs, 55, was convicted Wednesday morning of two prostitution counts, but acquitted of stiffer sex trafficking and racketeering charges after a two-month-trial that shed light on his repeated beatings of his girlfriends, and his taste for \u201cfreak-offs\u201d \u2014 sex marathons with male escorts.<\/p>\n

Agnifilo \u2014 who made the eyebrow-raising claim that Combs\u2019 relationship with ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was \u201ckind of a great modern love story\u201d<\/a> despite her testimony that he beat her \u2014 also said Thursday that he woke up in the middle of the night before the verdict convinced Combs would only be convicted on the two lesser counts.<\/p>\n

He said he texted his law partner Teny Geragos at 3 a.m. to start preparing a bail application \u2014 which would only make sense if Combs were to be found guilty on the lower charges.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believed that he would be convicted on the Mann Act and acquitted of anything else,\u201d the lawyer claimed, referring to the legal name for the prostitution charge.<\/p>\n
