He is by any measure a world-class storyteller who until now has dedicated his talents to documentaries. Our goal is to amplify those pursuits and help facilitate his inevitable expansion into scripted storytelling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNeville won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, as well as the Grammy for Best Music Film, for his 2014 film 20 Feet from Stardom, which looked at backup singers who\u2019ve supported some of the biggest names in music but never gotten the spotlight they deserved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNeville\u2019s 2015 doc Best of Enemies, on the televised 1969 debates between liberal writer Gore Vidal and conservative commentator William F. Buckley Jr., won an Emmy and was shortlisted for an Oscar. The filmmaker is also responsible for 2018\u2019s Won\u2019t You Be My Neighbor?, a critically lauded documentary about TV host Fred Rogers that became the highest-grossing biographical documentary of all time, as well as 2024\u2019s Steve! (Martin) A Documentary in Two Pieces for Apple TV+ (now Apple TV), for which he was Emmy-nominated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMost recently, Neville premiered Man on the Run, focusing on Paul McCartney\u2019s life and career during the 1970s, at the Telluride Film Festival. Amazon MGM will release the documentary in February 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn addition to his prolific work as a director, Neville is also the President and Founder of Tremolo Productions, an award-winning production company concentrating on quality non-fiction storytelling.
