While plot details are largely under wraps, it has been reported online that the film centers on a couple of school friends, one of whom starts to develop red flag behavior.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNeon will release theatrically in the U.S., and is representing international sales rights at this week\u2019s American Film Market. The company is co-financing with Lyrical Media. Producers include Perkins and his partner Chris Ferguson for Phobos and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones for Range. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Young People\u00a0is the first project under the first-look deal between Neon, Perkins, and his production banner Phobos and marks the pair\u2019s latest collaboration following the success of\u00a0Longlegs\u00a0which was the highest grossing independent film of the year at $75M domestically, and\u00a0The Monkey\u00a0which marked Neon\u2019s second-biggest opening weekend at the box office. The two are also partnering on Perkins\u2019 next film,\u00a0Keeper, which Neon is releasing on November 14.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFive-time Oscar nominee Kidman, who won the 2024 Venice Film Festival Best Actress prize for Babygirl, is in post on Amazon crime series Scarpetta.
