Just ahead of the Black Friday and holiday season, Samsung has released its own line of MicroSD Express cards. The new Samsung P9 MicroSD Express cards<\/a> come in both 256GB and 512GB capacities and are compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2. Amazon has already discounted the 512GB model with a $5 off coupon that drops the price from $99.99 to $94.99. This is one of the lesser expensive 512GB cards at the moment. Walmart does sell its house brand Onn 512GB MicroSD Express Card<\/a> for a lower price of $84.77, but it has noticeably slower speeds according to our review<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The 256GB model retails for $54.99 which is $5 cheaper than the official Switch 2 memory card<\/a> (which, curiously, is also made by Samsung). However, if you are planning to get this capacity, you should wait. Nintendo has already announced<\/a> that the official Switch 2 256GB memory card will drop to $39.99 on Cyber Monday.<\/p>\n

If you don’t yet own a Switch 2, now might be a good time to get one. It’s now in stock everywhere<\/a>, including Amazon, without any invitation required. Nintendo also recently raised prices on Switch 2 accessories<\/a> and warned that the console itself might see a price hike in the near future. I don’t expect any sales on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles during Black Friday and the only way to get one cheaper would be buying an imported model from AliExpress<\/a> or used consoles from eBay or other marketplaces.
