He has really come on over the last three games, starting with his pick-six against the Vikings and followed by his nine-pressure performance against the Giants.<\/p>\n
Carter batted two passes as the line of scrimmage and was stout against the run and rushing the passer. He and the rest of the defensive line feasted in primetime.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the defensive line, Phillips shined in his Eagles debut. He recovered a fumble, had seven quarterback pressures, multiple stops in the run game, and made a key play on fourth down to stop Jacobs behind the line of scrimmage. Phillips’ presence was felt in his first game in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n
Smith had the play of the game, rising over his defender for a fourth quarter touchdown to give the Eagles a two-possession lead. He finished with a team-high 69 yards on four grabs.<\/p>\n
