This increase surpasses the pre-pandemic high set in October 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, employment among foreign-born workers declined by 348,000, marking the third consecutive month of decreases. The Department of Labor&#8217;s data indicates that since the start of 2025, foreign-born employment has dropped by over half a million, while American-born employment has increased by more than two million.<\/p>\n<p>The overall number of jobs added in June exceeded expectations, with economists predicting a drop in employment. Instead, employment rose by 3,000.
