SAN DIEGO (KGTV) \u2014 A homicide investigation is underway after a body was found in the parking lot of the Westwood Club Fitness Center in Rancho Bernardo Monday afternoon. <\/p>\n
Police were called to the 17000 block of West Bernardo Drive around 2:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive woman on the ground. <\/p>\n
According to police, the woman was lying next to a vehicle and bleeding from her head. Emergency responders and officers responded to the scene where the woman was pronounced dead. <\/p>\n
“Based on the unexplained injuries, the death was determined to be suspicious, and the Homicide Unit was notified,” police added. <\/p>\n
Detectives remain at the scene to interview witnesses and search for security video, the department said. The cause of death is unknown at this time. <\/p>\n
