{"id":371376,"date":"2025-11-11T11:02:31","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T11:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/371376\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T11:02:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T11:02:31","slug":"julia-haarts-trophy-nyc-penthouse-asks-65m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/371376\/","title":{"rendered":"Julia Haart&#8217;s trophy NYC penthouse asks $65M"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A trophy Tribeca penthouse that played a starring role in <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/07\/14\/julia-haart-found-sexual-freedom-after-leaving-orthodox-life-netflix-unorthodox\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Julia Haart\u2019s reality show<\/a>, \u201cMy Unorthodox Life,\u201d is back on the market asking a hefty $65 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Off camera, the\u00a0stunning skypad at 70 Vestry St. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/15\/julia-haart-battles-silvio-scaglia-for-nyc-pad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was at the heart<\/a> of a\u00a0fierce battle<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/15\/julia-haart-battles-silvio-scaglia-for-nyc-pad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0<\/a>between Haart and her now-ex-husband, Italian businessman Silvio Scaglia, who bought the unit via an LLC for $56 million in 2018, after signing a contract to buy it in pre-construction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJulia is now fully in control of the penthouse,\u201d a source said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And while the show is over, Haart is still in business. The former La Perla creative director has her own shapewear line, <a href=\"https:\/\/bodybyjuliahaart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Body By Julia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Julia Haart. Art inside the aerie includes a Mel Bochner painting titled \u201cHa Ha Ha.\u201d There\u2019s also a cutlery bouquet by artist Anne Carrington, Forbes noted.<\/p>\n<p>Haart\u2019s neighbors includes Formula 1 champ Lewis Hamilton, who bought another penthouse in the building for $40.7 million in 2019. During their marriage, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen had also purchased a unit in the building that they sold during the pandemic; Brady still owns a pied-\u00e0-terre in the building, sources said.<\/p>\n<p>Haart\u2019s swanky, 13-room spread had\u00a0also been offered as a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/15\/julia-haart-battles-silvio-scaglia-for-nyc-pad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$125,000-a-month rental<\/a>. But it never rented; Haart decided to stay. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJulia has been living there and she\u2019s still there,\u201d a source told Gimme Shelter.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While technically a duplex, the massive 7,808-square-foot home \u2014 the largest penthouse in the building \u2014 features 3,687 square feet of outdoor space over three levels, including a private roof terrace with a full outdoor kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, there are six bedrooms, six baths, two powder rooms, two chef\u2019s kitchens and a private internal elevator.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Floor-to-ceiling storage adds an extra perk. Krisztina Crane\/Evan Joseph Studios<\/p>\n<p>Design details include lots of bold color, including red walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing Hudson River and city skyline views.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Haart also designed her own closet system that, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/amandalauren\/2025\/07\/30\/julia-haarts-nyc-apartment-is-as-unorthodox-as-her-life-tour-her-stylish-tribeca-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">she told Forbes<\/a>, she invented with an Italian company. \u201cIt\u2019s like a dry cleaner or like what you see in\u00a0\u201cClueless,\u201d but totally different \u2014 my own invention. As far as I know, it\u2019s the only one of its kind on the planet.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>The penthouse opens from an elevator landing to a foyer that leads to a corner great room with river views. There\u2019s also a chef\u2019s kitchen with floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry, a marble breakfast bar and access to a terrace for al-fresco dining \u2014 along with a study and a home office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s even floor-to-ceiling storage for books. The floor also features an additional chef\u2019s kitchen \u2014 plus a library with custom inlay bookshelves, a solarium and a study. Those all open to another terrace.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two parking units and a storage unit are also included in the sale.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the building was developed by Related Companies.
