Cheese is launching a spin-off dubbed \u201cChuck\u2019s Arcade\u201d complete with arcades for adults as \u201ca modern-day love letter\u201d to their fans \u2014 and aging consumers.<\/p>\n<p>The grown-up version of the kiddie arcade will be complete with retro arcade games, including Galaga alongside more violent ones left out of the tykes\u2019 terrain like Mortal Kombat and Halo, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chuckecheese.com\/tyler-tx\/blogs\/chuck-e-cheese-launches-chucks-arcade-a-classic-brand-extension-ushering-in-a-new-era-of-modern-arcade-gaming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chuck E. Cheese is launching a spin-off brand called \u201cChuck\u2019s Arcade\u201d for adults. Chuck&#8217;s Arcade<\/p>\n<p>So far, 10 have opened in malls across the United States in New York, Connecticut, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, New Hampshire and Missouri. The New York spot is located in Victor, about 22 miles southeast of Rochester.<\/p>\n<p>Each location is \u201coverseen by an animatronic character\u201d from the company\u2019s lineup, ranging from Chuck E. Cheese himself to lesser-known icons from Munch\u2019s Make Believe Band that were discontinued at all locations in 2023 except one in California. <\/p>\n<p>The adult arcade features a prize counter complete with \u201cold-school merch.\u201d Chuck&#8217;s Arcade<\/p>\n<p>The adult arcades will be complete with a prize counter including \u201cold-school merch\u201d for big ticket earners alongside the expected mountain of candy. Others will include food \u2014 and alcohol catered to their now-legal base.<\/p>\n<p>David McKillips, CEO of Chuck E. Cheese, figured expanding was a \u201cnatural evolution\u201d the company needed after a sweeping remodel of all 500 locations worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChuck E. Cheese has spent decades mastering the arcade experience \u2014 it\u2019s in our DNA,\u201d McKillips assured.<\/p>\n<p>The adult arcade will include a mix of retro arcade machines and virtual reality games. Chuck&#8217;s Arcade<\/p>\n<p>Each location will be overseen by one of the franchise\u2019s animatronic characters. Chuck&#8217;s Arcade<\/p>\n<p>Five years ago, the parent company for Chuck E. Cheese <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/06\/25\/chuck-e-cheese-parent-company-files-for-bankruptcy-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">filed for bankruptcy<\/a> after being beaten and battered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, it poured $350 million into remodels and rolled out a new pricing tier system to cater to families with stricter budgets.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/12\/15\/business\/chuck-e-cheese-exploring-sale-and-could-fetch-over-1b-sources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">the company was exploring auction options<\/a> with investment banking powerhouse Goldman Sachs for up to $1 billion. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Where a kid can be an\u2026adult?
