A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for Toronto with Environment Canada warning that periods of \u201cheavy snow and reduced visibility\u201d are possible this morning. <\/p>\n
In its advisory, the national weather agency said areas east of Highway 400, including Toronto and Durham Region, may see hazardous winter driving conditions this morning. <\/p>\n
\u201cThere may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic,\u201d the advisory noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n
Flurries are expected to end late this morning. The temperature will hit a high of 4 C but it will feel significantly cooler this morning, when the wind chill makes it feel closer to -8.<\/p>\n
More flurries are possible on Wednesday morning before a shift to rain. A high of 7 C is in Toronto\u2019s forecast on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
Toronto is seeing an early start to winter this year, with Sunday\u2019s snowfall breaking two decades-old weather records.<\/p>\n
Environment Canada said 9.8 centimetres of snow fell in Toronto on Sunday, with more accumulation early Monday morning.<\/p>\n
