It\u2019s gift-giving season, and Oprah Winfrey\u2019s list of Favorite Things in 2025<\/a> is helping you make a holiday list before you check it twice. Among the dozens of travel hacks, beauty remedies and cozy winter wear are three of Oprah\u2019s Favorite Things made in Dallas.<\/p>\n

The most delicious among them is Kate Weiser Chocolates\u2019 Lil\u2019 Carl four-pack<\/b>, a $28 set of edible snowmen<\/a> that melt over a warm stove to reveal dark chocolate and marshmallows inside \u2014 the ingredients to make a few cups of hot cocoa.<\/p>\n

Weiser has been making artsy bonbons in Dallas for more than 10 years. Carl the Snowman first landed on Oprah\u2019s Favorite Things list in 2018. The success of this seasonal treat \u2014 part family activity, part holiday drink \u2014 has turned it into such a sought-after Christmastime item, Weiser\u2019s team plans to make 150,000 Lil\u2019 Carls in the Garland facility.<\/p>\n

New this year, the company added a pink \u201cpeppermint snowlady\u201d called Carla<\/a> that comes painted in light pink. She\u2019s available in Lil\u2019 size and regular, like Carl.<\/p>\n

Carl the Snowman has been a staple on Kate Weiser’s holiday menu for years. In 2025, a smaller version called Lil’ Carl made Oprah’s Favorite Things.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been wanting to expand our Carl family for sometime now, so adding a cute, pink peppermint version was a natural fit,\u201d Weiser said via email.<\/p>\n

A mention in Oprah Daily \u201cfeels amazing,\u201d she said, because \u201cwe\u2019ve had a tough couple of years.\u201d Some small businesses in the food industry in Texas are struggling right now<\/a>, according to the Texas Restaurant Association.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy team deserves all the credit for handling this massive order and working together to get all these Lil\u2019 Carl\u2019s out to families all over the country,\u201d Weiser said. <\/p>\n

Also on Oprah\u2019s Favorite Things is the Mini Mahjer Complete Game<\/b>, a $150 kid-friendly guide<\/a> for those who want to learn to play mahjong<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The game \u201cis complicated and can be intimidating,\u201d notes Oprah\u2019s website, \u201cand this simplified and shortened starter game helps teach everyone from the age of 6 to 106 how to play.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dallas-based company was founded by Marian Brisch and Kristin Erwin, two moms and businesswomen who thought the popular trend in mahjong could extend to families. <\/p>\n

Mini Mahjer hit seven-figure sales in its first year, according to D Magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The third Dallas company on Oprah\u2019s list is Coco & Dash, the Dallas Market Center design studio selling a set of two Savoy House Rechargeable Half-Moon Mini Lamps<\/b> for $178<\/a>. (Use code OPRAH for 20% off.) Each lamp has a marble base and brass-plated shade. Oprah\u2019s site says they can tuck against a flat wall or work as bookends.<\/p>\n
