He originally earned his Dallas street cred through his work at Driftwood, where he received two James Beard nominations. He\u2019s since been building a Dallas restaurant empire with Big Dill Hospitality with a portfolio of restaurants that includes <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasobserver.com\/location\/even-coast-21230107\/?orig=Top100Restaurants\">Even Coast, <\/a>Whistle Britches and more recently, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasobserver.com\/food-drink\/dallas-chef-omar-flores-opens-casa-brasa-today-40609839\/\">Casa Brasa<\/a>, along Preston Road at Northwest Highway. Then, there\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasobserver.com\/food-drink\/maroma-a-coastal-mexican-restaurant-to-open-in-dallas-this-fall-21782577\/\">Maroma<\/a> in the Design District, a Coastal Mexican spot that should open sometime this year.<\/p>\n<p>But have you ever been to Muchacho Tex-Mex in University Park? It\u2019s always packed. There\u2019s another Muchacho in Southlake, and once you\u2019re onto something, why not forge ahead, right?<\/p>\n<p>Flores recently announced that he\u2019s opening a third Muchacho this spring in Frisco, at 8600 Gaylord Parkway near Preston Road, where Gloria\u2019s Latin Cuisine used to be. Frisco is getting all sorts of fun things, like a new <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasobserver.com\/food-drink\/the-tango-room-to-open-new-restaurant-in-frisco-40613794\/\">Tango Room<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, we <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasobserver.com\/news\/dallas-suburb-top-relocation-destinations-in-us-21750198\/\">reported<\/a> that Frisco is near the top of the list of most popular suburbs for relocating, according to MoveBuddha.com. Frisco is the nation\u2019s fifth most desired \u2018burb.
