Toronto Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube wasn\u2019t a fan of the hit Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov laid on Scott Laughton on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The hit knocked Laughton out of the game, and he will remain out of the lineup on Tuesday when the teams rematch. Given that Laughton remains out of the lineup, Berube sent a message to the team to \u201cget a lick\u201d in on Zadorov if the opportunity presents itself.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, nobody would be happy with that. It\u2019s a tough hit,\u201d Berube said<\/a> on Tuesday, via Sportsnet. \u201cIt should inject some fire in you, for sure. But we don\u2019t want to be stupid either. <\/p>\n \u201cWe gotta play the game.\u00a0Yeah, opportunity arises to get a good lick on a guy, get a lick on a guy.\u201d<\/p>\n There was no penalty on the play, but it\u2019s clear the Maple Leafs coach wasn\u2019t a fan of Zadorov\u2019s hit. <\/p>\n Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n He also thought the hit was dirty and felt like the Bruins\u2019 defenseman hit Laughton in the head. Berube, however, was glad that Bobby McMann stood up for Laughton and fought Zadorov.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
