Wagner Jr. Park reopened in July following a two-year renovation project,\u00a0the Wagner Park Pavilion, the park&#8217;s central structure, is now officially accessible. The\u00a0new destination offers a free, publicly accessible rooftop that provides visitors with panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Hudson River.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECOMMENDED:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/this-beloved-nyc-waterfront-park-just-got-a-1-7-billion-makeover-073125\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This beloved NYC waterfront park just got a $300 million makeover<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Located at the southern tip of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/here-is-what-the-battery-is-going-to-look-like-in-a-few-years-050824\" data-modified-href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/here-is-what-the-battery-is-going-to-look-like-in-a-few-years-050824\" data-modified- target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Battery Park City<\/a>, the reimagined Wagner Park\u00a0boasts a 63,000-gallon cistern to recycle rainwater, a buried floodwall\u00a0meant to defend against\u00a0another\u00a0Superstorm Sandy and saltwater-friendly gardens\u00a0that will\u00a0flourish\u00a0even as tides rise. Not only are we dedicated to creating a more resilient lower Manhattan that can withstand the storms to come, we also want to create beautiful public spaces for all to enjoy.
