{"id":372906,"date":"2025-11-12T02:25:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T02:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/372906\/"},"modified":"2025-11-12T02:25:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T02:25:15","slug":"vehicles-made-for-off-grid-living-now-on-sale-in-phoenix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/372906\/","title":{"rendered":"Vehicles made for off-grid living now on sale in Phoenix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 The company that recently opened an apartment complex made from shipping containers in Phoenix is now offering a way for people to go off the grid.<\/p>\n<p>Tudo Capital recently announced that its line of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tectumeadv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tectume Accessory Dwelling Vehicles<\/a> (ADV) is now on sale in Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-foot-long, 240-square-foot cabins are built onto trailers, meaning that they can be placed in rural areas where building could be difficult.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor many Phoenicians dreaming of a weekend cabin escape, the biggest challenge is the cost and complexity of building where there\u2019s no power, water or lack of construction labor,\u201d Tudo Capital Founder Evan Glickman said in a press release. \u201cThe Tectume ADV solves that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What is inside a Tectume ADV?<\/p>\n<p>The vehicles, which start at $50,000, are made from repurposed shipping containers and are move-in ready, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the ADVs are RV-certified and include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solar power and battery storage<\/li>\n<li>A freshwater capacity of 100 gallons<\/li>\n<li>Grey and blackwater tanks to use with eight a composting toilet or a transfer tank for blackwater disposal<\/li>\n<li>Lock-and-leave steel container construction<\/li>\n<li>Full residential finishes<\/li>\n<li>Full residential insulation<\/li>\n<li>Air conditioning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Customers can also add a kitchenette to the vehicle, if they wish.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicles are built in Hermosillo, Mexico, and can be delivered within six weeks after the purchase date, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>How to try out a vehicle made for off-grid living<\/p>\n<p>Tudo Capital is also offering prospective customers the chance to try the ADV for one night through its \u201cTry Before You Buy\u201d program.<\/p>\n<p>The company has an ADV parked at the Stacks on Polk apartment complex near 52nd and Van Buren Streets in Phoenix.
