Jack Schlossberg<\/a>, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, will launch his campaign Wednesday to replace retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) in New York\u2019s 12th Congressional District, he revealed in an email to supporters.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cJack here with an exciting update .. we are OFFICIALLY launching Jack for New York TOMORROW, November 12 !!\u201d the controversial Kennedy scion wrote in a message Tuesday, obtained by Politico<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schlossberg, 32, teased in September<\/a> that he was forming a committee to explore a bid for the New York City congressional seat currently occupied by Nadler, who is not seeking re-election<\/a> to an 18th-term in 2026.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been working so hard over here and cannot wait to kick the campaign into high gear,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schlossberg\u2019s campaign website<\/a> was already up and running Tuesday evening featuring the slogan: \u201cA new generation of leadership for New York.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cEach generation of Americans is tested. The 2026 midterms is our moment,\u201d a blurb on the website reads. \u201cI\u2019m running for Congress because the best part of the greatest city on earth needs to be heard loud and clear in Washington and deserves a representative who won\u2019t back down.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schlossberg \u2014 known for his wild social media rants \u2014 is an outspoken critic of the Trump administration, including his cousin, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He even mocked RFK Jr.\u2019s spasmodic dysphonia<\/a>, which affects his ability to speak, in an Instagram post earlier this year.<\/p>\n

He has also asked his followers if Vice President JD Vance\u2019s wife, Usha, is \u201chotter\u201d than his late grandmother <\/a>Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis; described his cousin\u2019s wife, actress Cheryl Hines, as looking \u201csuper-dehydrated\u201d<\/a>; and suggested conservative CNN pundit Scott Jennings drinks his \u201cown pee\u201d<\/a> in a series of unhinged X posts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schlossberg, the son of former US Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, gained prominence<\/a> last year after he was made a political correspondent for Vogue and was given a speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also bring two years now of experience in a toxic and polluted media environment where, unlike a lot of people, I know how to breathe that air,\u201d he told the New York Times<\/a> Tuesday. \u201cI think that this district needs somebody who knows how to fight back effectively in this new political era that we\u2019re living in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nadler has previously dismissed Schlossberg\u2019s chances of winning New York\u2019s 12th District.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, there\u2019s nothing particularly good or bad about a Kennedy holding my seat. But the Kennedy, unlike Schlossberg, should be somebody with a record of public service, a record of public accomplishment, and he doesn\u2019t have one,\u201d the congressman told CNN in September.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c[H]e certainly is not going to be a major candidate,\u201d Nadler added. \u201cThere will be major candidates.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schlossberg will face a crowded field of Democratic congressional hopefuls<\/a>, including state Assemblyman Micah Lasher, who is expected to be endorsed by Nadler, and Liam Elkind, a 26-year-old non-profit leader and community organizer who previously criticized the 78-year-old Nadler as not having enough energy to challenge President Trump<\/a> and lead a new wave of young Democrats.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Schlossberg\u2019s campaign did not immediately respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F.
