Emmerdale<\/a> spoilers follow for Wednesday\u2019s episode (November 12), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX and YouTube, and hasn\u2019t yet aired on TV.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emmerdale airs its third special episode of November tonight, with this instalment focusing on Robert Sugden\u2019s years spent in prison<\/a>. With Robert finally opening up to Aaron Dingle about what he went through behind bars, it\u2019s an emotional flashback episode that changes everything\u2026<\/p>\n

This week, Kev told Robert about the death of a prisoner at the hands of Jez<\/a>, the man who tormented him in prison and made his life a misery.<\/p>\n

Learning that another of Jez\u2019s victims wasn\u2019t so lucky was sobering for Robert and prompted him to tells his soulmate Aaron about his ordeal, something he has remained tight-lipped about until now.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s episode<\/a> is told through a series of flashbacks from the years that Robert spent in jail, often returning to the present where Aaron and Victoria react to what they are being told.<\/p>\n

There are also some scenes set in the caf\u00e9 between Liam and Kev in the episode. Liam has recently discovered that Kev has been exaggerating his heart condition<\/a> and that despite what he has told Robert, he doesn\u2019t have a terminal illness.<\/p>\n

As a GP, Liam is forced to keep Kev\u2019s lie a secret<\/a> due to patient confidentiality, so all he can do is advise the recently released prisoner to come clean and do the right thing.<\/p>\n

The flashbacks give a valuable insight into Robert\u2019s prison nightmare, as well as explaining how he met Kev<\/a> and why he feels that he owes his unwell husband.<\/p>\n

Exact details of the episode are being kept under wraps ahead of broadcast this evening, but there are some huge twists that will change the course of the whole storyline and will have major lasting effects for both Robert and Kev.<\/p>\n

Actor Ryan Hawley also recently teased that there will be a surprise appearance in the episode, and it truly is a cameo that is not to be missed.<\/p>\n

“[The episode] was definitely worth doing because it explains a lot about Robert and Kev’s relationship,” Ryan explained. \u201cSome interesting things are sewn in the flashback episode that potentially takes the story forward\u2026”<\/p>\n
