Hilary Duff<\/a> fans and internet sleuths believe her new song, \u201cMature,\u201d takes a subtle dig at Leonardo DiCaprio and infamous age-gap relationships.<\/a><\/p>\n Last week, the former Disney<\/a> Channel star, 38, delighted fans with the release of her first song in a decade. <\/a>The pop-rock track reflects on a past relationship<\/a> with a partner known for dating younger women \u2014\u00a0and listeners are convinced it\u2019s laced with thinly veiled references to DiCaprio, newly 51, who has a history of dating women<\/a> decades younger. <\/p>\n Featuring lyrics like, \u201cShe\u2019s me, I\u2019m her in a different font \/ Just a few years younger, a new haircut \/ Very Leo of you with your Scorpio touch,\u201d listeners have interpreted the latter line as a tongue-in-cheek nod to DiCaprio, who often goes by Leo and also happens to be a Scorpio. <\/p>\n \u201cGoing down on her on your vintage rug \/ Bet she\u2019s so impressed by your Basquiat \/ And she thinks you\u2019re deep in the ways you\u2019re not,\u201d Duff goes on to sing. <\/p>\n Many eagle-eyed fans have connected the \u201cBasquiat\u201d mention to DiCaprio\u2019s controversial ownership of a Jean-Michel Basquiat painting<\/a>, titled \u201cRed Man One.\u201d <\/p>\n open image in gallery<\/p>\n Hilary Duff appears to take a subtle swipe at Leonardo DiCaprio in her new song, ‘Mature’ (Getty) open image in gallery<\/p>\n Hilary Duff is married to her second husband, singer-songwriter Matthew Koma (Getty Images for Vanity Fair)<\/p>\n Back in 2014, the Oscar-winning Revenant actor was gifted some of Basquiat\u2019s artwork from disgraced Malaysian financier Jho Low, who is still wanted by authorities for his alleged role in a multibillion-dollar corruption scheme. DiCaprio eventually voluntarily surrendered the artwork in 2017.<\/p>\n The seeming references don\u2019t stop there. Duff later croons: \u201cHid my car at Carbon Beach so I wasn\u2019t seen at yours \/ You knew better of course.\u201d<\/p>\n In 1998, theTitanic star purchased a $1.6 million beach home in Malibu, California, which, coincidentally, had direct access to Carbon Beach, according to Architectural Digest<\/a>. He sold it in 2021 for $10.3 million.<\/p>\n Some fans have even dug into Duff\u2019s back catalogue, pointing to her 2007 song, \u201cDanger,\u201d which includes the lyrics: \u201cWere you born in \u201874? Are you the kind of guy that I should ignore?\u201d <\/p>\n Indeed, DiCaprio was born in 1974. <\/p>\n The Independent has contacted Duff\u2019s and DiCaprio\u2019s representatives for comment. <\/p>\n DiCaprio is currently in a relationship with 27-year-old Italian model Vittoria Ceretti. He was previously in a five-year relationship with actor and model Camila Morrone. They split in 2022, a month after she turned 25.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Duff also has a history of dating older men. When she was just 16, she dated Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, now 46, when he was 25.
