Celebrities: They\u2019re just like us. Ahead of the premiere of Season 2 of Landman, actors Billy Bob Thornton, James Jordan and more pledged their love for Fort Worth<\/a> \u2014 and for its restaurants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thornton, who plays oil-and-gas fixer Tommy Norris in the Taylor Sheridan series, told The Dallas Morning News Fort Worth is his favorite city in Texas.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I had to pick a city in the United States where I feel most comfortable, it\u2019s Fort Worth,\u201d he told our Sarah Hepola.<\/p>\n

Since Thornton and his Landman co-stars are living in Cowtown for weeks or months at a time as they film the Paramount+ show in North Texas, they\u2019ve tested out plenty of places to eat.<\/p>\n

James Jordan, a petroleum engineer on Landman, told PaperCity<\/a> he\u2019s eating at the Hotel Drover for Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n

The food in Fort Worth \u201cis the best food in America,\u201d he told the Star-Telegram. <\/p>\n

B&B Butchers<\/p>\n

Some Landman actors said they stick to the Clearfork area of Fort Worth, a neighborhood southwest of downtown. At the Shops at Clearfork, customers can find Louis Vuitton, Neiman Marcus and a restaurant called B&B Butchers. It\u2019s a \u201cgreat little steakhouse,\u201d Jordan told PaperCity.<\/p>\n

Down N\u2019 Out<\/p>\n

Touting itself as \u201ca regular bar\u201d that serves up free hot dogs on Sunday and bingo on Thursdays, Down N\u2019 Out is a dive bar that \u201crocks,\u201d said Landman actor Christian Wallace on Instagram. It\u2019s in the Near Southside neighborhood in Fort Worth, south of Interstate 30.<\/p>\n

The Durty Crow<\/p>\n

The Landman film crew loves the Durty Crow, Wallace told the Star-T. Bring yourselves or bring your dog to this bar near West 7th that has pool tables, Golden Tee and a chill vibe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best burger in Fort Worth is at Gustos,\u201d Wallace said on social media. Huge! In a city with some of North Texas\u2019 oldest burger joints<\/a> like Kincaid\u2019s and Fred\u2019s Texas Cafe, Gustos is a newcomer, open since 2023. Options include smashburgers with one, two or three patties, loaded tots and more.<\/p>\n

Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar\"Paulina<\/p>\n

Paulina Ch\u00e1vez said Fort Worth is “very chill.” She likes handroll bar Hatusyuki.<\/p>\n

Japanese restaurant Hatsuyuki is a fave for Paulina Ch\u00e1vez (who plays Ariana on Landman) and Thornton. It was named the ninth best sushi restaurant in the United States<\/a> by Yelp in 2024, the Star-T reported. Customers go for quick service and a long list of daily fish specials. The no-reservation restaurant is across the street from the Durty Crow \u2014 a tip for anyone who wants to make an evening out of the Landman stars\u2019 faves.<\/p>\n

Hurtado Barbecue\"Hungry<\/p>\n

Given the owner and namesake of Hurtado Barbecue worked as an extra on Season 2 of Landman<\/a>, it\u2019s no surprise that Jordan listed it as one of two great barbecue joints. The original Hurtado is in Arlington, but the company has expanded to Fort Worth, Dallas and Mansfield. Hurtado also sells barbecue inside the Texas Rangers\u2019 ballpark.<\/p>\n

Joe T. Garcia\u2019s\"Joe<\/p>\n

Joe T. Garcia’s small menu includes fajitas and margaritas. Billy Bob Thornton loves it.<\/p>\n

The oldest restaurant on this list<\/a>, Joe T. Garcia\u2019s near the Fort Worth Stockyards just celebrated 90 years<\/a> in mid-2025. Even before Thornton told the Star-T he loved this longtime restaurant, folks around Fort Worth would regularly see him there. \u201cLove Joe T.\u2019s,” Thornton said on the Landman red carpet. \u201cIt\u2019s so traditional.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paloma Suerte\"James<\/p>\n

James Jordan, an actor on ‘Landman,’ said he loves the barbecue and Tex-Mex in Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Jordan named Paloma Suerte<\/a> as a favorite Tex-Mex spot in Fort Worth. The restaurant owned by one of the city\u2019s most prolific chefs, Tim Love, is near the Hotel Drover, in the Stockyards. Customers go for queso, birria tacos and fajitas. At late-night happy hour \u2014 9 or 10 p.m. until close \u2014 palomas cost $6 and margaritas are $8.<\/p>\n

Press Cafe\"The<\/p>\n

Michelle Randolph, who plays Ainsley Norris on Landman, is a fan of Press Cafe, an American restaurant on the banks of the Trinity River. Press Cafe is known for its weekend brunch menu, plus bites like its salmon Caesar salad, a rice bowl and daily pasta specials.<\/p>\n

61 Osteria\"Arancini<\/p>\n

Arancini at 61 Osteria in Fort Worth is a blend of fontina cheese and rice, fried and topped with salsa verde and tomato sauce.<\/p>\n

Ch\u00e1vez and Jordan both named Italian restaurant Osteria 61<\/a> as a favorite. Menu items include meatballs, aged prosciutto, eight options for pasta and mains like branzino, veal marsala and cioppino. The restaurant near the Fort Worth Convention Center and Sundance Square is dinner-only. (With aperitivo starting at 4:30 p.m.)<\/p>\n

Terry Black\u2019s Barbecue<\/p>\n

Get to Terry Black\u2019s Barbecue for some of Fort Worth\u2019s finest smoked meat, Jordan said. The all-day barbecue spot started in Austin and is expanding quickly across Texas, to Dallas\u2019 Deep Ellum, Waco, Nashville and more. The Fort Worth restaurant on W. 7th Street serves traditional Texas \u2018cue, like peppery brisket, smoked turkey, jalape\u00f1o-cheese sausage and more.<\/p>\n
