{"id":374585,"date":"2025-11-12T23:09:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T23:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/374585\/"},"modified":"2025-11-12T23:09:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T23:09:16","slug":"judge-orders-release-of-hundreds-of-migrants-detained-by-ice-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/374585\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge Orders Release Of Hundreds Of Migrants Detained By ICE: Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CHICAGO \u2014 In two separate rulings Wednesday, federal judges questioned recent arrests by federal immigration agents as part of &#8220;Operation Midway Blitz,&#8221; resulting in blowback from the Department of Homeland Security. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/post\/hundreds-detained-part-federal-immigration-operation-midway-blitz-ordered-released-bond-judge-says\/18148124\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ABC7 Chicago is reporting<\/a> Judge Jeffrey Cummings ordered the release on bond of up to 615 migrants arrested in the area by Nov. 19, citing DHS violated a consent decree that limits the ability of federal agents to conduct warrantless arrests. As part of the ruling, the judge ordered the Trump administration to show the court how many of the migrants represented in the lawsuit are still in the country or have criminal records. <\/p>\n<p>DHS rebuked the ruling by what it called an &#8220;activist judge.&#8221; On the agency&#8217;s X account, DHS said the decision puts the lives of Americans directly at risk. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p>At every turn activist judges, sanctuary politicians, and violent rioters have actively tried to prevent our law enforcement officers from arresting and removing the worst of the worst. Judge Jeremy C. Daniel ruled the 38-year-old&#8217;s detention without a hearing is unlawful, as it&#8217;s a violation of her right to due process. The bond hearing needs to be held on or before Nov. 18.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/illinois\/chicago\/150k-donated-daycare-teacher-dragged-screaming-ice-chicago-workplace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>Related: $150K Donated To Daycare Teacher Dragged Screaming By ICE From Chicago Workplace<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Galeano&#8217;s arrest on Nov. 5 at Rayito de Sol Spanish, a daycare center in Chicago&#8217;s North Center neighborhood, drew the ire of community members as she was taken into custody in front of her students by federal immigration agents without a warrant. The incident was <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RepMikeQuigley\/status\/1986124393978933755\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">captured on video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley said Galeano, who is Columbian, had a work permit.
