stunned in the first round.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/carlos-alcaraz-reacts-after-coco-gauff-wins-the-french-open-title-over-aryna-sabalenka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gauff won the French Open<\/a> in June, many picked her as a favorite to add another Grand Slam title to her collection at SW19.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t to be, however, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/dayana-yastremska-shares-what-her-relationship-with-coco-gauff-is-really-like-after-knocking-her-out-of-wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gauff lost to Ukrainian star Dayana Yastremska<\/a> in her opening match 6-7, 6-1<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\" at a major for the first time in two years.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to Gauff\u2019s shock Wimbledon exit, one of the biggest names on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATP Tour<\/a> shared his thoughts.<\/p>\n<p>Nick Kyrgios says Coco Gauff looked \u2018overwhelmed\u2019 against Dayana Yastremska at Wimbledon<\/p>\n<p>During the latest episode of \u2018Wimbledon Unfiltered with Nick Kyrgios\u2019, 2022 finalist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/nick-kyrgios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nick Kyrgios<\/a> gave his verdict on the 21-year-old\u2019s first-round defeat.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen was the last time we saw Coco Gauff\u2026 she looked a bit overwhelmed yesterday,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe lost a tight first set, then when it rains, it pours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe couldn\u2019t get back into it, at any other Slam she may have fought back, but here, [Dayana] One.<\/p>\n<p>As has been the case previously, it was Gauff\u2019s serve that let her down against Yastremska, making three times as many double faults as her href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/naomi-osaka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Naomi Osaka<\/a>, who did so twice.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"inline-links multi\">\n<li>Naomi Osaka won 2018 target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Open<\/a> in August, an event she won two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to see if the pattern continues, and if it does, this year\u2019s Wimbledon
