The Cardinals got hit with a rash of injuries Sunday in Seattle, but had another significant one before they even got back on the practice field.<\/p>\n
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.<\/a> suffered a bout of appendicitis and had surgery on Monday night, putting him out for the game against the 49ers and potentially longer.<\/p>\n Harrison has 34 receptions for 525 yards and four touchdowns this season, all stats second on the team behind tight end Trey McBride.<\/p>\n “It’s life in the NFL,” coach Jonathan Gannon said. “It’s our job to put a plan together and get ready to go out and compete and win. That’s the job.”<\/p>\n Fellow wide receiver Simi Fehoko<\/a>, who suffered an arm injury on Sunday, was placed on Injured Reserve. The team finally announced that wideout Zay Jones<\/a>, who Gannon said had torn his Achilles, was also officially placed on IR.<\/p>\n For now, Michael Wilson will be the team’s No. 1 receiver, teaming with McBride to be quarterback Jacoby Brissett’s top-of-the-depth-chart targets.<\/p>\n “Maybe there is a little more anticipation of getting the rock a little more and knowing the ball is going to be coming my way because I know I’m the first read on a lot of plays,” Wilson said. “But in terms of the way I play the game, I don’t think it changes.
