{"id":375206,"date":"2025-11-13T05:13:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T05:13:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/375206\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T05:13:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T05:13:15","slug":"nikkei-225-hang-seng-index","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/375206\/","title":{"rendered":"Nikkei 225, Hang Seng Index"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>View of the Skytree from Ueno and Asakusa in Tokyo<\/p>\n<p>Jackal Pan | Moment | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Asia-Pacific shares mostly rose Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump signed a funding bill into law, effectively ending the longest federal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/government-shutdown\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">government shutdown<\/a>\u00a0in U.S. history.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s benchmark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.N225\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nikkei 225<\/a> index rose 0.13%, while the Topix added 0.62% to hit a record high.<\/p>\n<p>Shares of SoftBank Group continue to fall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/12\/softbank-shares-plunge-as-much-as-10percent-after-selling-nvidia-stake.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">for a second consecutive day<\/a>, plunging more than 5%, after the Japanese giant said Tuesday it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/11\/softbank-sells-its-entire-stake-in-nvidia-for-5point83-billion.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sold its entire $5.8 billion stake<\/a> in Nvidia in October, to fund its OpenAI bet.<\/p>\n<p>South Korea&#8217;s Kospi was flat, while the small-cap Kosdaq climbed 0.79%.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.AXJO\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S&amp;P\/ASX 200<\/a> fell 1.01% after the seasonally adjusted October unemployment rate eased to 4.3%, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abs.gov.au\/statistics\/labour\/employment-and-unemployment\/labour-force-australia\/latest-release\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">government jobs data showed<\/a> Thursday. The latest reading was better than the 4.4% figure expected by Reuters-polled economists and compared with 4.5% in September.<\/p>\n<p>The better-than-expected decline in October lowers expectations for a rate cut. The Australian dollar rose to 0.6556 against the greenback.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hang Seng Index<\/a> fell 0.66%, while the mainland&#8217;s CSI 300 added 0.95%.<\/p>\n<p>India&#8217;s Nifty 50 declined 0.12% in early trading.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. equity futures ticked lower in early Asian hours after a continued market rotation powered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.DJI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dow Jones Industrial Average<\/a> to record its first close above 48,000 Wednesday stateside.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight, the 30-stock Dow closed up 326.86 points, or 0.68%, at 48,254.82. The index also hit a fresh all-time intraday high in the session.
