President Donald Trump<\/a> was among those who sent condolences to the Osbourne family after rocker Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> died.\n<\/p>\n

Ozzy’s widow, Sharon, whom he married in 1982, and two of their children, Jack and Kelly, played Trump’s words to the family on Wednesday’s episode of The Osbournes Podcast<\/a> that they host.\n<\/p>\n

“Hi, Sharon, it’s Donald Trump, and I just wanted to wish you the best,” the president said in the message the family played, before his voice cut out for a moment. “Ozzy was amazing. He was an amazing guy. I met him a few times, and I want to tell you he was unique in every way and talented. So I just wanted to wish you the best, and it’s a tough thing. I know how close you were, and whatever I can do. Take care of yourself. Say hello to the family.”\n<\/p>\n

Ozzy died July 22<\/a> at 76. His cause of death was determined to be a heart attack, with “acute myocardial infarction,” coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction named as “joint causes,” according to the New York Times<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

Following the Black Sabbath rocker’s death, there was an outpouring of love for him, thanks to fans and celebrities including his former bandmates, as well as Adam Sandler and John Oates.\n<\/p>\n

After the Trump voicemail played, Jack remarked, “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”\n<\/p>\n

Sharon, who was a cast member on Trump’s reality show Celebrity Apprentice in 2010 and came in third, praised him and first lady Melania Trump.\n<\/p>\n

“All I know is a man that I know, I worked with for a month. I spent one month with him and his wife, who was always gracious, elegant, just a delight to talk to, his wife,” Sharon began. “And he was always, ‘How are the children? How’s Kelly? I’m so proud of Kelly and Jack for what they’ve done and their manners are great.’ And he was just a great guy to talk to and he has always treated me with respect.”\n<\/p>\n

Sharon acknowledged that the mention of Trump would be divisive.\n<\/p>\n

“Listen, I’m not American,” said Sharon, who’s British. “I can’t vote. I don’t want to vote. I don’t vote for anyone. I vote for no one. Never have, never will. But the thing is, all I know is he’s treated me with respect, your father with respect. He wanted nothing from us. Nothing. Melania \u2014 the same. Nothing. And they have been great.”<\/p>\n

She began to cry as she said, “And for him to take his time to do that for us.”\n<\/p>\n

In September, Sharon publicly thanked everyone for their kindness following the family’s loss.\n<\/p>\n

“I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media,” Sharon captioned a video<\/a> she shared on social media. “Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed. In fact, it’s carried me through many nights.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
