{"id":375506,"date":"2025-11-13T08:14:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T08:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/375506\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T08:14:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T08:14:10","slug":"selena-pop-up-exhibition-comes-to-grammy-museum-in-la-nbc-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/375506\/","title":{"rendered":"Selena pop-up exhibition comes to Grammy Museum in LA \u2013 NBC Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fans of the legendary singer Selena, also known as the \u201cQueen of Tejano Music,\u201d will have the opportunity to see some of the iconic musician\u2019s personal belongings at a special pop-up exhibition at the GRAMMY Museum in downtown Los Angeles starting in January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition titled Selena: From Texas to the World is set to display some of the late singer\u2019s personal items outside the Selena Museum in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Selena Quintanilla-Perez was tragically killed 30 years ago at the age of 23 in her hometown.\u00a0Since her death, her legacy continues to touch generations around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The young singer, who was named \u201cGreatest of All Time Latin Artist\u201d by Billboard in 2020, more than 25 years after her death. Some\u00a0of the legendary top hits were \u201cComo la Flor,\u201d \u201cBidi Bidi Bom Bom,\u201d \u201cAmor Prohibido,\u201d &#8220;Tu solo Tu, &#8220;among others. Her posthumous album, \u201cDreaming of You,\u201d topped Billboard&#8217;s 200 in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Selena not only loved music, but she also had a knack for fashion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSelena was a fashion pioneer whose signature style, from shimmering bustiers and iconic stage outfits to bold red lipstick, continues to influence pop culture and street fashion today,\u201d states the GRAMMY Museum <a href=\"https:\/\/grammymuseum.org\/exhibit\/selena-from-texas-to-the-world\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/grammymuseum.org\/exhibit\/selena-from-texas-to-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the museum\u2019s website, the exhibition is curated in collaboration with the singer\u2019s sister and president of Q Productions, Suzette Quintanilla.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the personal items that fans will see include:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Selena\u2019s outfit on the cover of &#8216;Amor Prohibido,&#8217; complete with her signature hoop earrings<\/li>\n<li>The white beaded gown she wore to the 1994 Grammy Awards<\/li>\n<li>Selena\u2019s Grammy Award and Lifetime Achievement Award<\/li>\n<li>Instruments played by Selena\u2019s siblings, as well as her former husband, Chris P\u00e9rez<\/li>\n<li>Selena\u2019s microphone, still marked with her red lipstick<\/li>\n<li>Hand-drawn fashion designs<\/li>\n<li>Selena\u2019s personal cell phone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The exhibit will be from January 15, 2026, to March 2026.
