Megyn Kelly blasted Charlize Theron as \u201cvulgar\u201d and classless for sharing her perspective on sex and being a single woman on Wednesday\u2019s episode of \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d<\/p>\n

The conservative host began Thursday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Megyn Kelly Show\u201d by questioning why Theron even agreed to go on the popular podcast<\/a> hosted by Alex Cooper.\u00a0The actress is in the middle of a press tour for her new Netflix movie \u201cThe Old Guard 2.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cShe decided to go on a podcast tour for some reason,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cShe sat down with \u2018Call Her Daddy,\u2019 the sex podcaster who interviewed Kamala Harris \u2014 all about how much they love abortions.\u201d She chastised the actress for trying to act like a \u201csuper cool girl.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

On the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d episode Theron was asked to give her best sex advice and the actress responded candidly saying, \u201cI am the last person to ask [for sex tips]. I\u2019m sounding very cocky here, but I think it\u2019s because I\u2019ve found this freedom in my 40s where I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh my god.\u2019 Just for perspective, I\u2019ve probably had three one-night stands in my entire life. But I did just recently f\u2013k a 26-year-old, and it was really amazing. I\u2019ve never done that. And I was like, \u2018Oh, this is great.\u2019 Women should be the ones that are like, \u2018F\u2013k you, I\u2019m going to have an orgasm.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly looked appalled and pointed out the irony that she was criticizing Theron of all people, who played her in 2019\u2019s \u201cBombshell.\u201d She also made a point to note that she can\u2019t be sued for defamation for sharing her opinion, because she was clearly stating it was just her opinion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe she\u2019s just boring and stays home on Friday nights, but it seems like she\u2019s compensating for something,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cShe\u2019s 49 years old trying to sound 26. It feels weird. She\u2019s one of our biggest stars \u2014 act like it. Have some class.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly clearly took issue with the open discussion about sex on the podcast and called talking about it \u201cvulgar\u201d and \u201cinappropriate.\u201d She also blasted Theron for her commentary about single motherhood and the role men played in her life.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s strange to see one of our most famous actresses sit down cross-legged with a sex podcaster talking about orgasms and who they slept with,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s off-putting. Then she doubles down on how little she needs a man in her life, even when it comes to child-rearing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ironically, on the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d episode Theron talked about the harsh judgement single mothers and older women face when they don\u2019t have men in their lives. The \u201cMad Max: Fury Road\u201d actress said the assumption is that something must be wrong with the woman. Theron added that she felt an immense sense of freedom that comes from raising a child alone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s just affectation,\u201d Kelly said of the actress\u2019 comments while also chiding her for swearing so much. \u201cShe\u2019s trying to be the cool, young girl who doesn\u2019t need a man. She\u2019s proud that there\u2019s no father in the picture. Great. Good for you. People can make up their own minds, but this isn\u2019t how I want to see our biggest stars behave. She\u2019s on the opposite side of the political aisle from us, but you never see Julia Roberts do this kind of thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
