{"id":376496,"date":"2025-11-13T18:28:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T18:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/376496\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T18:28:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T18:28:16","slug":"deck-the-chairs-announces-2025-holiday-schedule-with-more-programming-arts-activities-in-jacksonville-beach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/376496\/","title":{"rendered":"Deck the Chairs announces 2025 holiday schedule with more programming, arts activities in Jacksonville Beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Deck the Chairs (DTC) announced its 2025 holiday schedule, which includes more programming and arts activities in Jacksonville Beach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The six-week event kicks off Nov. 26 with a visual arts activity for students at 1:30 p.m., followed by performances on the Seawalk Pavilion stage at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Nearly 50 student-focused stage performances will take place, featuring an estimated 1,000 young performers from Northeast Florida, including fan-favorites such as the Florida Ballet\u2019s The Nutcracker and Tuba Christmas, showcasing 200 tuba players.<\/p>\n<p>Deck the Chairs (Copyright 2025 by WJXT News4JAX &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">This year\u2019s event will have 70 decorated chairs on display and a nightly light show will illuminate downtown Jacksonville Beach hourly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be two DTC Christmas Markets on Nov. 29 and Dec. 6 adjacent to the main JBDTC exhibit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">There will also be four free daytime visual arts activities for kids, including an opportunity to \u201cDeck The Light Show\u201d on opening day, \u201cDeck Duuuval,\u201d \u201cDeck with Scotie Cousin,\u201d and \u201cDeck with Santa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/deckthechairs.org\/jax-beach-deck-the-chairs\/schedule-of-events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/deckthechairs.org\/jax-beach-deck-the-chairs\/schedule-of-events\/\">Click here<\/a> for a full list of programming and activities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">This beloved holiday tradition continues to bring joy and inspiration for our residents and visitors,\u201d shared Deck The Chairs Founder and Executive Director Kurtis Loftus. \u201cIn addition to the student decorations, community chairs, and our fabulous holiday tree with musical light show, there\u2019s now more student stage programming and arts activities happening multiple weekday and weekend afternoons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">DTC will have the Student Decorating Challenge, showcasing two student exhibits, one located at the main JBDTC event and the other at the Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
