Two teenage boys are facing first-degree murder charges in the death of a 16-year-old Calgary boy in August, and charges are incoming for a third. <\/p>\n
Carter Spivak-Villeneuve was killed in the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 1 when he was on his way to his home in Abbeydale. <\/p>\n
Investigators believe the group of suspects knew the victim and arranged to meet him that night. <\/p>\n
\u201cCarter\u2019s death is alleged to be the result of an ongoing dispute,\u201d the Calgary Police Service said Thursday. <\/p>\n
On Nov. 4, with the help of RCMP, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on the Muskowekwan First Nation in Saskatchewan. He has since been charged with one count of first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in a Calgary courtroom on Friday. <\/p>\n
On Wednesday, another 15-year-old was arrested in Calgary and charged with first-degree murder. He appeared in court on Thursday. <\/p>\n
A third 15-year-old boy has also been arrested and police say charges are pending. More information is expected once charges have been officially laid. <\/p>\n
The suspects can\u2019t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe ages of those involved in this case are deeply troubling,\u201d said Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson of the CPS Homicide Unit. \u201cThe loss of Carter is a devastating reminder of how seemingly insignificant conflict between youth can escalate with irreversible consequences. Carter\u2019s death was senseless and the lives of everyone involved have now been forever changed.\u201d<\/p>\n
