Fireworks can be overwhelming for pets. Here are a few ways to keep them safe and calm.<\/p>\n
The final preparations are underway for the 49th annual Macy\u2019s 4th of July Fireworks<\/a> special for a night of dazzling pyrotechnics across New York City\u2019s skyline, with a star-studded lineup of live performances by country artists, rockers, a Broadway star and guest appearances.<\/p>\n Airing on NBC starting at 8 p.m<\/a>. ET, Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose<\/a>\u00a0will host the fireworks celebration, with performances by the Jonas Brothers<\/a>, Ava Max<\/a>, Lenny Kravitz<\/a>, Keke Palmer<\/a>, Eric Church<\/a> and Trisha Yearwood<\/a>. Billed as a \u201cone-of-a-kind\u201d show that can be seen in the city at designated areas only, the fireworks will be set to a 25-minute musical score produced by The Roots\u2019 Ahmir \u201cQuestlove<\/a>\u201d Thompson and James Poyser<\/a>.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s what you need to know: how to watch and what time the fireworks begin.<\/p>\n What time does Macy\u2019s July 4th fireworks show start?<\/p>\n The two-hour Macy\u2019s 4th of July Fireworks event will be broadcast and streamed live on July 4 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. Find your\u00a0local NBC channel<\/a>\u00a0to watch the two-hour live broadcast, which will also simulcast live on\u00a0Peacock<\/a>, NBC\u2019s streaming service. An encore presentation of the special will air at 10 p.m. on NBC. Telemundo is also airing a telecast of the celebrations from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET (You can find your local Telemundo channel\u00a0here<\/a>).<\/p>\n What type of fireworks will be on display?<\/p>\n According to Macy\u2019s, more than 80,000 shells in 30 colors<\/a> and special effects will be shot into NYC\u2019s night sky. Fireworks to include crackling crown jellyfish, atomic rings, yellow & green sunbursts, strobing lemon cascades and comet fans.<\/p>\n Where are the Macy\u2019s fireworks this year?<\/p>\n The Macy\u2019s 4th of July Fireworks returns to the East River for 2025 after the show was held on the Hudson River in 2024. The nation\u2019s largest July 4th fireworks show,\u00a0according to Macy\u2019s<\/a>, will fire from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges positioned on the lower East River in the Seaport District, between Pier 17 and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport.<\/p>\n Other viewing areas include:<\/p>\n For safety reasons, several items are not permitted while viewing Macy\u2019s fireworks. This includes: alcohol, backpacks, blankets, cigarettes, drones, duffle bags, e-cigarettes, large bags, large coolers, large packages, lawn chairs, motorized scooters, umbrellas, and weapons.<\/p>\n\n
