\n\tFollowing the commercial success of the Brad Pitt<\/a>-starring F1<\/a>, Pitt revealed that he and fellow Hollywood star Tom Cruise<\/a> almost featured in another racing drama.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring an interview with The National<\/a>, Pitt shared that the pair were slated to feature on Ford v Ferrari<\/a>, but ran into a major speed bump along the way. \u201cTom and I, for a while there, were on\u00a0Ford v Ferrari\u00a0with Joe [to direct],\u201d said Pitt. \u201cThis was about 10 years before the guys who actually made it \u2013 and made it a great movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued, \u201cWhat it came down to is that we both wanted to drive, and he wanted to play Shelby, and I wanted to play Ken Miles. And when Tom realized that Carroll Shelby would not be driving much in the movie, it didn\u2019t come through.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s been over 30 years since Pitt and Cruise appeared in 1994\u2019s Interview With the Vampire<\/a>, based on Anne Rice\u2019s best-selling novel, and the idea of the two reuniting on the racetrack has piqued Pitt\u2019s interest. The actor also addressed rumors of a potential sequel. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI would want to drive again, selfishly speaking,\u201d Pitt said, but given the film\u2019s ending wondered how his character would make sense. \u201cWhere does Sonny fit in? I\u2019m not sure. Sonny\u2019s probably out on the Bonneville Salt Flats, setting speed records or something like that.
