A new dining destination is set to arrive in the heart of Bishop Arts<\/a>, in Dallas\u2019 north Oak Cliff community. Lunami Latin Cuisine is a steakhouse that will combine cuts of meat with Honduran and Latin American flavors.<\/p>\n

The restaurant will open its doors at 101 W. Davis St., Suite 100, inside the Vance at Bishop Union complex, on the corner of Zang Boulevard, as first reported<\/a> by Culture Map Dallas.<\/p>\n

The menu promises a fusion of grilled dishes with Central American influences, positioning the new spot as a mix between a classic steakhouse and a contemporary Latin restaurant.<\/p>\n

Oak Cliff<\/a> has been quietly evolving into one of Dallas\u2019 most interesting culinary areas, known for its gastronomic diversity, abundance of independent cafes, signature cuisines, and small restaurants far from corporate models.<\/p>\n

Lunami\u2019s menu will also include Honduran dishes such as baleadas \u2014 a flour tortilla filled with beans, cheese, and cream, to which other ingredients such as egg, meat, or avocado can be added \u2014 as well as tacos<\/a> and other options popular in Honduras.<\/p>\n

This combination of steakhouse and Honduran cuisine is rare in the region, as the Dallas food scene tends to focus more on Mexican<\/a> and Tex-Mex cuisine. The arrival of Central American cuisine, with influences from Afro-Caribbean, indigenous, and Spanish cultures, will be a novelty for many diners.<\/p>\n

Renovations on the 3,600-square-foot space began in August and are scheduled to wrap up by month\u2019s end. The opening is planned for December.<\/p>\n

Lunami Latin Cuisine will be at 101 W. Davis St., Suite 100, Dallas.
