Republican gubernatorial candidate Elise Stefanik<\/a> ripped Kathy Hochul in a blistering new ad Friday that was essentially a montage of the Democratic incumbent\u2019s lowlights as New York governor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The minute-long spot<\/a>, titled \u201cKathy\u2019s Own Words: This Bulls\u2013t Has to Stop,\u201d is the second statewide digital ad released by the upstate congresswoman since the launch of her New York gubernatorial campaign.<\/p>\n

The ad begins with an image of Hochul and newscasters repeating the phrase, \u201cWorst governor in America\u201d \u2013 which is how Stefanik referred to the incumbent when she launched her campaign last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHochul is out of touch,\u201d the narrator says, before brutal clips of Hochul\u2019s missteps as governor play \u2013 including her May 2024 assertion<\/a> that black children \u201cgrowing up in the Bronx\u201d don\u2019t know what the word \u201ccomputer\u201d means.<\/p>\n

Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), as well as the governor\u2019s, \u201cI can hear you\u201d response is also shown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cUnpopular,\u201d the narrator continues, as a clip of the Empire State gov. getting viciously booed<\/a> in September at the Ryder Cup golf tournament on Long Island is played.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNot for us,\u201d the voiceover states, ahead of a clip of Stefanik hammering Hochul in an interview for making New York \u201cthe most unaffordable state in the nation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stefanik then uses the governor\u2019s own words against her, with a clip of Hochul telling reporters: \u201cThis bulls\u2013t has to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s time to save New York,\u201d the ad concludes. \u201cElise for governor.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a statement, Stefanik said the \u201cbulls\u2013t\u201d will stop when voters head to the polls next November.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cKathy Hochul has earned the title of Worst Governor in America because she has made New York the most unaffordable state in the nation,\u201d the congresswoman said. \u201cThese are your words Kathy: \u2018This bulls\u2013t has to stop.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it will when Republicans, Democrats, and Independents unify next November to fire Kathy Hochul and save New York with common-sense policies that make our state affordable and safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

A poll released earlier this week found Stefanik nearly neck-and-neck<\/a> with the governor.<\/p>\n

Hochul was backed by 46% of voters to 43% for Stefanik, which was within the margin of error, according to the survey conducted by J.L.
