{"id":378865,"date":"2025-11-14T18:08:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T18:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/378865\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T18:08:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T18:08:11","slug":"city-council-reviews-johnsons-revised-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/378865\/","title":{"rendered":"City Council reviews Johnson&#8217;s revised budget"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhz2u2op005101s4hirqe2z6@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">CHICAGO CITY HALL (WBBM Newsradio) &#8212; Mayor Brandon Johnson rolled out a revised version of his budget plan for next year at Friday\u2019s City Council meeting, but there\u2019s no indication this new budget is any more likely to win support from aldermen.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhz33b5q0022357ta22tvb3z@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">The most notable change is to the Mayor\u2019s controversial plan to collect $21 per worker per month from the city\u2019s largest employers.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhz33b9b0023357t1tdyewii@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">The budget introduced last month exempted companies with fewer than 100 employees in the city.
