\u201cIt has the best views in Kendall County,\u201d said Kris Forks, listing agent with Kuper Sotheby\u2019s International Realty.<\/p>\n

Situated on a two-acre lot, the property offers the serenity of various water features including a private waterfall.<\/p>\n

Inside, the 5,878-square-foot home, constructed in 1993, exhibits the remnants of \u201990s-does-traditional Spanish style, at times to a dramatic degree. <\/p>\n

The entrance\u2019s large double doors open onto a formal living room framed by columns and statues. Above, a fluted, texturized ceiling adds further interest. Entertaining in the formal living room can also spill onto a long balcony from multiple sets of double doors, which bathe the room in light and make views the primary focal point.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the home, a stairwell features yet another sweeping vista in the form of a mural. But if you don\u2019t feel like taking the spiral staircase, the home also comes with an elevator, though that feature is currently out of service. Additional amenities throughout the house include multiple offices, a cedar closet and two laundry rooms, the listing notes. <\/p>\n

Columns also appear in the master bath, framing a large, luxurious soaking tub.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to believe that this gem would be offered at less than a million \u2014 indeed, its $925,000 price tag is even below its $1.4 million tax valuation. But, according to the listing, that\u2019s because it needs some work.<\/p>\n

Though Forks did not specify the upgrades needed on the home, he said it regards \u201cdeferred maintenance\u201d for several features, some of which haven\u2019t been updated since 1993.<\/p>\n

For the right buyer willing to put in a little elbow grease, this crown jewel of Kendell County appears ready to shine.<\/p>\n
