{"id":380791,"date":"2025-11-15T13:30:38","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T13:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/380791\/"},"modified":"2025-11-15T13:30:38","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T13:30:38","slug":"2-9m-road-repair-project-in-humble-to-kick-off-in-early-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/380791\/","title":{"rendered":"$2.9M road repair project in Humble to kick off in early 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA $2.9 million road repair project in southeast Humble will kick off in early 2026 after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofhumbletx.gov\/city-council\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Humble City Council<\/a> approved the selected construction company <a href=\"https:\/\/d3n9y02raazwpg.cloudfront.net\/humble-tx\/b5b647c1-6f73-11ee-b4aa-0050569183fa-ebc5fcf5-5ee0-49f0-881b-bc93fbd4747c-1762538106.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nov. 13<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The gist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project will include repairs to McDugald Road, Sharon Drive, Carolyn Court, Rankin Road and Kingfisher Drive, according to Nov. 13 City Council meeting documents. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ballastpointconstruction.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ballast Point Construction<\/a>\u2014which is based out of Katy\u2014was chosen for the road project.<\/p>\n<p>According to meeting documents, the project will consist of replacing or adding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Asphalt pavement with concrete pavement with curb and gutters<\/li>\n<li>Storm sewer and water lines<\/li>\n<li>Fire hydrants along McDugald Road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Zooming in<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eleven construction firms submitted bids for the city street project before Ballast Point Construction was chosen, according to meeting documents.
