A man who charged Ariana Grande<\/a> on a Wicked: For Good red carpet in Singapore and attempted to embrace the star on Thursday has been charged with being \u201ca public nuisance\u201d.<\/p>\n

Multiple viral clips show 26-year-old Australian man Johnson Wen jumping the red carpet barricades, rushing up to Grande and then attempting to put his arm around the star.<\/p>\n

Grande looks shocked as co-star Cynthia Erivo fiercely pulls him off the actress and singer with a look of fury on her face.<\/p>\n

Wen who posts under the handle of Pyjamamann on Instagram was detained briefly. He later posted: \u201c@arianagrande\u00a0@wickedmovie\u00a0Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You\u201d<\/p>\n

Singapore authorities are not taking the incident so lightly.<\/p>\n

Local court documents posted online on Friday state that Wen has been charged with being \u201ca public nuisance\u201d. He faces a prison sentence of up to three months as well as a fine of up to S$2000 ($1540) if found guilty. He is due to reappear in court on Monday.<\/p>\n

Wen is a serial stage invader. Clips on his Instagram account show him also invading a Katy Perry show, a The Chainmakers concert and a variety of sporting events such as the 2023 FIFA World Cup FinaI among many other events.<\/p>\n

The Singapore stunt has provoked widespread criticism, especially in the light of the fact that Grande has talked about experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder following the suicide attack at the end of her concert in May 2017 in Manchester, which killed 22 people and injured hundreds.<\/p>\n

Grande has yet to comment on the Singapore incident.<\/p>\n
