\u201cA good thing about this situation is I love my own shoes when I\u2019m out there hooping,\u201d Curry said. \u201cThat\u2019s why I put those back on and why I design the kicks I have for as long as I have.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut yeah, I\u2019m gonna have some fun with this, and like the question in terms of being open to whatever opportunity is the right fit, I\u2019m going to try everything, though.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for why the partnership ended, Curry said that the breakup with Under Armour was \u201cin the best interest of both parties.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThat sneaker industry is difficult,\u201d Curry said. \u201cThings change over time, to the point of you give your best effort to create something sustainable. A little disappointing knowing how it turned out based on where Curry Brand has been the last five years and the announcement we had two years ago, but I think it\u2019s the right thing for everybody.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me to be able to take the opportunity with Curry Brand and what we\u2019ve done in the community, what we\u2019ve done from standing for something, changing the game for good is our tagline and hopefully having something to show for it down the road, I\u2019m excited about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Curry isn\u2019t exactly sure what his next shoe move will be, but he\u2019s embracing the idea that he will have different options down the line. For a man who embraced the early stages of the Under Armour experience and was the face of the brand for years, Curry sounds refreshed by the idea he will take the Curry Brand he\u2019s built and get to pair with another company in the future.<\/p>\n

I was blessed to have an unbelievable\u00a0experience and take a chance on something that meant a lot to me over the last 13 years and extremely proud of myself, my team, everybody who\u2019s able to touch that business for that long.<\/p>\n
