CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who allegedly drove around a school bus before striking and seriously injuring a pedestrian in a South Side crosswalk last month.<\/p>\n

Police said the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 3 in the South Shore neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The driver was heading westbound on East 76th Street when they drove into the eastbound lane at South Crandon Avenue to go around a school bus and other traffic that was stopped at a stop sign, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said the driver then hit a pedestrian, who was walking in the crosswalk, before fleeing the scene westbound.<\/p>\n

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries, police said.<\/p>\n

CPD released images of the vehicle, which they have located, but investigators are still searching for the driver.<\/p>\n
