Three people were killed \u2013 including one person law enforcement described as a suspect \u2013 during a shooting in South Gate that involved police, the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department said.<\/p>\n
The shooting was reported just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday along San Luis Avenue in South Gate, LASD said.\u00a0 There, two women were pronounced dead at the scene and a third woman was taken to a nearby hospital. The severity of the injuries the surviving woman endured was not immediately disclosed.<\/p>\n
Officials added that the suspect was also pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
LASD did not specify how the deceased were killed, but said sheriff\u2019s deputies were called to assist South Gate police with an \u201cofficer-involved shooting.\u201d Details on what led up to the shooting were not clear.<\/p>\n
The names of the deceased have not been released.<\/p>\n
