John Fetterman posts picture of injured face after fall \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Democratic Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/tag\/john-fetterman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">John Fetterman<\/a> said he is on the road to recovery on Saturday after a stay in the hospital due to a fall near his home in Braddock, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, Nov. 13. <\/p>\n<p>In a post to X, Fetterman posted a picture of his scarred face and said he received 20 stitches after a ventricular fibrillation flare-up caused him to feel light-headed and fall. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">20 stitches later and a full recovery, I\u2019m back home with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/giselefetterman?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@giselefetterman<\/a> and the kids.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m overwhelmed + profoundly grateful for all the well-wishes.<\/p>\n<p>Truly.<\/p>\n<p>Grateful for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UPMC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@UPMC<\/a> for the incredible medical care that put me back together.<\/p>\n<p>THANK YOU SO MUCH.<\/p>\n<p>See you back in DC. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/j81LXZGLBx\">pic.twitter.com\/j81LXZGLBx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. Senator John Fetterman (@SenFettermanPA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenFettermanPA\/status\/1989784336170684880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November 15, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Fetterman also said he was now back home with his family and &#8220;overwhelmed + profoundly grateful for all the well-wishes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman, who\u00a0suffered a stroke\u00a0in 2022, has disclosed that he was diagnosed with\u00a0cardiomyopathy\u00a0and a heart condition called\u00a0atrial fibrillation.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiomyopathy can impede blood flow and potentially cause heartbeats so irregular they can be fatal. Atrial fibrillation can cause blood to pool inside a pocket of the heart, allowing clots to form. Clots then can break off, get stuck and cut off blood, causing a stroke.<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman has said the stroke was atrial fibrillation. He underwent surgery after the stroke to implant a pacemaker with a defibrillator to manage the condition.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Democratic Sen.
