The <strong>French Institute of South Africa (IFAS)<\/strong> and the <strong>Embassy of France<\/strong> have launched the second edition of Cr\u00e9ation Africa \u2014 a high-impact support programme offering mentorship, incubation, and funding for cultural and creative ventures.<\/p>\n<p>Cr\u00e9ation Africa, backed by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, is a regional programme targeting the <strong>cultural and creative industries (CCI)<\/strong> in Southern Africa.<br \/>This initiative supports sectors such as music, film, design, crafts, animation, gaming, fashion, architecture, digital media, and more.<br \/>For entrepreneurs, this is more than a grant \u2014 it\u2019s a holistic journey combining training, mentorship, networking, and international exposure. Past cohorts have traveled to France for immersion and deep sector engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits of the Program<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mentorship &amp; Coaching<\/strong>: Selected entrepreneurs will participate in a coaching phase (Feb\u2013Mar 2026).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Incubation<\/strong>: 15 creative enterprises will be accepted into an intensive incubation from April to October 2026.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Networking Opportunities<\/strong>: Access to French and African creative markets, partners, and funders.<\/li>\n<li><strong>International Immersion<\/strong>: Finalists may take part in an immersion programme in Europe.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Funding Support<\/strong>: Financial grant estimated between <strong>\u20ac15,000\u2013\u20ac30,000<\/strong>, depending on needs and jury decision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Who Can Apply (Eligibility)<\/p>\n<p>To participate, you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be <strong>18 years or older<\/strong> and a resident of <strong>South Africa, Lesotho or Malawi<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Run a <strong>registered business<\/strong> in one of these countries (your business must be legally established and managed by you).<\/li>\n<li>Operate in the <strong>cultural &amp; creative industries<\/strong>, such as design, music, film, fashion, interactive media, crafts, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Be available for the <strong>full programme<\/strong>, including pitch events, coaching, incubation, and immersion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Dates<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Application Deadline<\/strong>: 7 December 2025 at 23:59 SAST<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shortlist Presentations<\/strong>: 19\u201323 January 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Selection of 50 Entrepreneurs<\/strong>: 26\u201329 January 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coaching Phase<\/strong>: 2 February \u2013 20 March 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Incubation<\/strong>: 6 April \u2013 9 October 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Immersion Programme<\/strong>: Between October and November 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Helpful Tips to Strengthen Your Application<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Be clear about your creative business model<\/strong>: Define how your venture creates value, its audience, revenue streams, and growth potential.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Show past traction<\/strong>: Share past performances, sales, collaborations, or community impact \u2014 even early-stage projects matter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Demonstrate innovation and sustainability<\/strong>: Explain what makes your idea unique and how it can grow into a sustainable business.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepare for time commitment<\/strong>: Be ready to commit time outside regular business duties for mentorship, incubation, and immersion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Engage with local and international networks<\/strong>: Highlight any partnerships, collaborations, or future plans that connect you to broader creative markets.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use multimedia in your pitch<\/strong>: Include images, concept designs, or short videos to bring your creative vision to life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How to Apply<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/frenchinstitute.org.za\/applications\/creation-africa\/call-for-entrepreneurs-creation-africa-south-africa-lesotho-and-malawi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Cr\u00e9ation Africa page<\/strong><\/a> on the French Institute of South Africa website.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the online application form through the link provided there.<\/li>\n<li>Upload your business profile, creative portfolio, financial plans (if available), and any relevant supporting documents.<\/li>\n<li>Submit before <strong>7 December 2025<\/strong> and ensure your availability for all programme phases.<\/li>\n<li>For questions, contact: projectofficer.faec@frenchinstitute.org.za.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t Post Views: 616&#13;\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Are you a creative entrepreneur in South Africa, Lesotho, or Malawi looking to scale your business?
