1st season anime premiered in January 2024<\/p>\n

Kadokawa<\/a> revealed during MF Bunko J<\/a>‘s Fall School Festival 2025 special livestream on Sunday a new visual and the 2026 premiere\u00a0for the second\u00a0season<\/a>\u00a0of the television\u00a0anime<\/a>\u00a0of writer\u00a0Buncololi<\/a> and illustrator Kantoku<\/a>‘s Sasaki and Peeps<\/a>\u00a0(Sasaki and Pichan<\/a>) novels.<\/p>\n

The second season will have returning cast and staff, with the exception of the music producers. K\u014dji Fujimoto<\/a> Tearmoon Empire<\/a>, Mission: Yozakura Family<\/a>) and Osamu Sasaki<\/a> (Ragna Crimson<\/a>, Mission: Yozakura Family) are the new music producers.<\/p>\n

The first season premiered in January 2024 with a one-hour special on the\u00a0AT-X<\/a> channel, and ended with its 12th episode. Crunchyroll<\/a> streamed<\/a>\u00a0the series in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.\u00a0Crunchyroll\u00a0is also\u00a0streaming<\/a>\u00a0an English dub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The anime stars:<\/p>\n

Mirai Minato<\/a> (Masamune-kun’s Revenge<\/a>, BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.<\/a>) directed the anime at SILVER LINK.<\/a> Deko Akao<\/a> (Higehiro<\/a>, Komi Can’t Communicate<\/a>, Flying Witch<\/a>) wrote and oversaw the series scripts, and Saori Nakashiki<\/a> (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!<\/a>, Tales of Wedding Rings<\/a>) designed the characters.<\/p>\n

Yen Press<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0releasing<\/a>\u00a0the novels in English, and it describes the story:<\/p>\n

Even though Sasaki’s droll corporate life is constantly filled with work, it leaves him tired and unfulfilled at the end of every day. In search of some companionship to fill the emptiness in his life, he visits a pet shop on a whim, not realizing he’s about to change his life forever. After settling on an adorable bird and bringing it home…his new roommate reveals that it’s actually an incredible sage from another world who promptly bestows Sasaki with supernatural powers as well as the ability to cross between worlds. All Sasaki wants to do is use these newfound powers to live in peace and comfort, but there are more than a few colorful characters who might get in the way of that…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kadokawa began publishing the novel series in January 2021 with illustrations by Kantoku, and the novels are ongoing. The novels\u00a0won<\/a>\u00a0the Tank\u014dbon and the Novel categories of the 2022 edition of\u00a0Takarajimasha<\/a>‘s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook. The 12th novel volume will ship on November 25.<\/p>\n

Osho launched the manga adaptation on Kadokawa’s Sh\u014dnen Ace Plus<\/a> platform in 2021. Kadokawa published the manga’s fifth compiled book volume on June 25.\u00a0<\/p>\n
