PHOENIX \u2014 A man has been arrested in connection with an overnight shooting that left a man dead early Saturday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Phoenix Police Department identified 42-year-old Craig Poorthunder as the man in custody. He faces a second-degree murder charge.<\/p>\n

Police have not released the identity of the man who was killed in the shooting.<\/p>\n

Details on overnight shooting in Phoenix<\/p>\n

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the area of 19th Drive and Northern Avenue<\/a> for reports of a shooting just before 2 a.m.<\/p>\n

When police arrived on scene, they reportedly found an adult man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Police said that the man was pronounced dead on scene.<\/p>\n

The area remained closed as detectives investigated the fatal shooting, according to Phoenix police.<\/p>\n

No other information was provided.<\/p>\n
