PHOENIX \u2014 A man who was arrested in connection with a homicide in the East Valley allegedly hit a patrol vehicle while trying to flee, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Maricopa County Sheriff\u2019s Office (MCSO) identified the man taken into custody as 24-year-old Antwain Clark Jr.<\/p>\n

Clark is facing a charge of second-degree murder, authorities said.<\/p>\n

According to the sheriff\u2019s office, it received multiple calls regarding shots fired in the area of 140th Way and Villa Cassandra Drive<\/a> in Scottsdale.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived on scene, they reportedly found a man who was dead in the front yard of a home and saw Clark fleeing.<\/p>\n

Police said that while attempting a traffic stop, Clark collided with a marked MCSO patrol vehicle.<\/p>\n

He was taken into custody after the collision.<\/p>\n

The identity of the victim in the fatal shooting was not released.<\/p>\n
