I admit I was wrong thinking the Jags had no chance. Total dominance with an injured team against a quality playoff contender. Nice way to bounce back and make a statement.

I didn’t think the Jaguars had no chance Sunday. I did think it was a really tough matchup considering their injury situation, and considering the opponent, and considering what happened in Houston last Sunday. Color me impressed. This was a significant day.

O, I contend we are in contention! Do you contest?

The Jaguars absolutely, undeniably and undisputably are in contention. I wrote this repeatedly last week and this angered many fans. It was true then and is true now.

I think I read somewhere that the NFL is a week-to-week league?

A great man wrote that once. I forget where.

Mark from Crescent Beach, FL

Should TL be allowed to change the play at the line? Nothing good ever seems to happen from it! Be it checking into a bad play or running play clock to zero!

Yes, quarterback Trevor Lawrence should be allowed to do this. The Jaguars’ offense can’t work if the quarterback can’t switch in and out of plays before the snap.

Nick from Virginia Beach, VA

Dumb throw, but still a great win and response by Trevor. High roller coaster.

The Jaguars are 6-4, the No. 7 seed in the AFC and on Sunday beat one of the best teams in the AFC by 29 points – and the little lights are not twinkling.

I believe a wise man recently said that we would likely lose a game we would have expected to win and win and game we expected to lose. Didn’t take long for those words to come true.

Coen sure does not do the defense any favors, going for it on fourth-and-3. I have noticed he goes for it on fourth down at least once or twice a game and the Jags rarely get it. And people wonder why the defense eventually crumbles during the game.

This is not the NFL of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s or even the 2000s. Fourth-and-1, 2 or 3 – especially in the opponent’s territory – is not necessarily a punt or field-goal down. Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen is far from alone in his approach in these situations.

Since I am often critical about our highly-paid players not producing, please allow me to be appreciative on an accolade that I don’t take lightly. Congrats to Josh Hines-Allen on breaking the GREAT Tony Brackens’ franchise record. I will always be team Brackens all day and twice on Sunday, but Hines-Allen is truly one of the nicest people. Congrats sir!

Jaguars defensive end Josh Hines-Allen indeed set the Jaguars all-time career sacks record Sunday. He now has 56, one ahead of former Jaguars defensive end Tony Brackers. Good for Hines-Allen. Well-deserved.

Mike from Daytona Beach, FL

Almost perfectly executed drive to go up 7-3. That’s what we have been looking for!

Touchdowns are cool. Fans like them.

Sean from Saint Johns City

It’s a week-to-week league?

The best interest of the Jags is to move on from Trevor.

This was the much-ballyhooed, often-bizarre, sometimes-coherent First Email of the Game. It came after Lawrence overthrew wide receiver Jakobi Meyers on fourth-and-3 from the Chargers 41 on the Jaguars’ first series of the game. The Jaguars can’t “move on” from Lawrence after this season and it would be difficult to do it after next season.

Zone, wanted to share with you what I once heard a wise – nay, brilliant – man say, that “This is a week-to-week league.”

Alan from Biggest little city

In the wise words of the franchise quarterback, “We’re good” … again?

The Jaguars have been good all season. They haven’t been consistent. They haven’t always won. They haven’t always played well. They always have been good.

Craig from Mulbarton, England

Jags are like Forrest Gump quotes. Jags football is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.

The NFL is a week-to-week league. That’s all I have to say about that.

Hi, KOAGF – I DID NOT SEE THIS COMING AT ALL!
