He finished with eight 3-pointers in the game and wore a smile on his face at the podium while re-telling a story about his uncle.

“That’s actually my first time having eight 3s,” Moody said. “I hit seven 3s, like, 30 times in my life. I’ve done that plenty of times. But I got an uncle that told me when I was young, the most he hit was eight, so I’ve been trying to get it my whole life, and he’s like put a curse on me. I’ve never gotten it, so I’ll probably give him this jersey or something, it’s cool.”

Moody’s performance paced an otherwise sleepy looking Warriors group to its third-straight win. In the process, he also gave Warriors personnel flashbacks to seeing Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson get hot and knock down 3-pointers all over the floor.

MOSES MOODY.
STEPHEN CURRY.
KLAY THOMPSON.

The only Warriors to make 7 threes in a quarter!

What an ERUPTION from Moody 🤯 pic.twitter.com/uyERAlIMnY

— NBA (@NBA) November 17, 2025

“It’s what every athlete is searching for: that zone,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “People call it the zone or the flow, whatever you want to call it, but mind and body come together, and it’s a beautiful thing to watch, and, obviously, we’ve seen Steph do that a million times, and Klay, but it really is fun to watch when it does happen because these guys work so hard. And there’s so much pressure on them and stress. You could see Moses had a little smile on his face after each one. It was beautiful to see.”

Moody, a 2021 first-round pick, also set a new career-high for points in a quarter and tied Curry for the second-most three-pointers in a quarter by pouring in seven on Sunday night. The team-high, and NBA record, is Thompson’s – he hit nine 3-pointers in a quarter in a win over the Sacramento Kings in January 2015. Kerr knows the Warriors still have a lot of work to do, but he is proud of the way the group responded on this trip.

“We needed this,” Kerr said. “We didn’t play particularly well. There’s not a whole lot to talk about other than Moses’ hot first quarter. Twenty-one turnovers; we got wild out there, but that team is obviously going through it right now, so we needed the win. We’ve put ourselves in a good spot on this trip after that first game in OKC so I’m proud of the guys, and now we’ve got a really tough back to back to finish it.”

Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody hit seven 3-pointers in the first quarter of Sunday night’s game against…

[40
3140,1260,62,67,132,68
0":"post-384973","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nba","8":"tag-golden-state-warriors","9":"tag-nba","10":"tag-sports","11":"tag-united-states","12":"tag-unitedstates","13":"tag-us
["GET
