Few, however, imagine that among those reflections lies a discreet chapter of Italian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/tag\/modern-architecture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">modernity<\/a> \u2014 the architecture of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/office\/carlo-scarpa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carlo Scarpa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More than an architect, Scarpa was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/229817614_Directing_Vision_in_the_Landscapes_and_Gardens_of_Carlo_Scarpa?utm_medium=website&amp;utm_source=archdaily.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">craftsman of light and matter, a poet of detail<\/a> who knew how to listen to the Venetian tradition and respond to it with gestures of surprising delicacy.
