Project Prometheus has already received $6.2 billion in funding, a part of which of which has come from Bezos himself, The New York Times reported<\/a>, citing three people familiar with the company, which noted the new firm is \u201cone of the most well-financed early-stage startups in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n The Time reported scientist Vik Bajaj, who previously served as a director at Google X, the tech giant\u2019s secretive advanced research and development arm, will serve as co-CEO.<\/p>\n Bajaj updated<\/a> his LinkedIn profile to list himself as the co-CEO and cofounder of Project Prometheus, although the startup\u2019s profile page<\/a> is mostly blank with a blacked-out logo and a description that reads \u201cAI for the physical economy.\u201d<\/p>\n Bezos has not publicly commented on the report, and his recent social<\/a> media posts<\/a> have focused primarily on his rocket company Blue Origin\u2019s recent launches.<\/p>\n
