MEMPHIS, Tenn. \u2014 The Memphis Grizzlies<\/a>\u00a0announced Monday that two-time All-Star Ja Morant will miss at least two weeks with a strained right calf, including Saturday\u2019s game at American Airlines Center<\/a> against the Dallas Mavericks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Grizzlies provided the medical update after Morant hurt his calf over the weekend early in a loss at Cleveland and said Morant will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks.<\/p>\n

Morant scored seven points in six minutes before exiting with\u00a0right calf soreness.<\/a>\u00a0He missed the previous game Wednesday in Boston with\u00a0a sore right ankle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Memphis visits San Antonio on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The Grizzlies just got center Zach Edey back in that loss at Cleveland. Memphis started the season with a handful of players out\u00a0injured<\/a>\u00a0including shooting guard Ty Jerome (high-grade right calf strain), guard\u00a0Scotty Pippen Jr.<\/a>\u00a0(left big toe) and Brandon Clarke (knee surgery).<\/p>\n

Memphis\u2019 thin guard depth prompted the Grizzlies to sign rookie Jahmai Mashack to a two-way contract Sunday. He was the 59th overall pick in the June draft and has been playing with the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League.<\/p>\n
